Luxurious interior in classic Broken Bow style

Not only is it loaded with upgrades, but it’s absolutely gorgeous on the inside. Exposed wood and heavy leather furniture really bring the log cabin vibe to life. They chose Southwestern elements to decorate the place that represent the culture of the Broken Bow area. There’s a light and airy feel created by floor-to-ceiling windows and high vaulted ceilings.

The open layout offers several different places to hang out. There’s a huge living room, an outdoor patio and even a secluded game room with a pool table and shuffleboard. In theory, you can book this cabin and never have to leave.

My favorite spot was this sitting area in the kitchen (see above photo). It’s got a great view of the patio and outdoor area. I loved how the light streamed in each morning and I’d just sit there and meditate for a while.

Private oasis for outdoor gathering

Nestled in the woods, this Broken Bow cabin lets you get in touch with nature. The outdoor patio runs around the back of the house with a set of steps down to the lower level.

The upper patio is where you’ll find the hot tub, which is hidden by a modern two-way fireplace. From the hot tub, you can look out into the woods and nearby private mountain. Up here is also the built-in kitchen with a gas grill and mini-fridge. There’s also a nice sitting area with tons of seating to gather. If you look closely at the photo above, you’ll notice there’s even a foosball table!

If you walk down the outdoor stairs, you’ll reach a lovely fire pit. We utilized this area to have a “bonfire night” on our trip. It’s perfectly framed by the trees in the back. Hanging out down here really gives you that adventurous feel.

With cornhole and horseshoe pits, this area was a great spot to spend a few hours.

Nearby things to do in Broken Bow

When you venture out, you’ll find all the best things to do are less than 20 minutes away. Most people visiting have plans to go out onto Broken Bow Lake. The cabin is roughly 15 minutes away, depending on which part of the lake you visit. At the lake, you can do anything from swimming to fishing and watersports.

Plan a casual dinner out at the famous Grateful Head Pizza Oven & Tap Room. This is the best spot for pizza in Broken Bow, plus you can get a nice craft beer. You can skip straight to the booze at Mountain Fork Brewery or Girls Gone Wine.

And, hear me out on this one, Gutter Chaos is the local bowling alley and arcade room. Visiting this place made me nostalgic towards the many visits to Dave & Busters I took as a kid.

When I visited, we stayed 3 nights at around $1,000 per night. The cost was split by 12 people, so my share only wound up being $270. Isn’t that another great thing about booking a vacation rental instead of a hotel?

I found the host to be very professional and they even helped me with a recommendation for a boat rental. They had reasonable house rules and getting into the property was a breeze.
