Your getaway just won’t be the same if you rent a hotel in Fredericksburg. A cabin offers privacy, scenic surroundings and amenities that you can’t get in a hotel.
Each cabin in town has its own unique architecture and interior design. The A-Frame Ranch styles its cabins with modern, minimal touches that feel clean and comfy. There’s a common kitchen and living area where we played games, caught up on trash TV and played music while getting ready to go out.
We had a large group of 8 for our girls trip, so the cost to rent a cabin was more affordable than hotel rooms. Our cabin had 4 bedrooms with six beds (2 kings and 4 single beds).
What amenities do these cabins offer?
Lets start with the hot tub and patio. Both were used every night on my trip for gathering, relaxation and stargazing. You can plan a night in and take advantage of the BBQ grill.
The kitchen helped us save some cash since we cooked breakfast each morning and could store snacks and leftovers. We did have to do some basic cleaning at the end, but that’s to be expected with any vacation rental.
You can also expect the essentials like bathrooms, shower/bathtubs, linens, spare toiletries and kitchen utensils.
Who should stay at this rental?
I recommend these cabins for any bachelorette, family vacation or girls trip to Fredericksburg. The minimal interior design offers a blank slate you can decorate to match the occasion.
Moms, this rental is kid-friendly and has a crib and pack-and-play for convenience.
Its great if you’re driving in from different locations with plenty of space to park. You’ll want to make sure you have a car or be prepared to order rideshare to the stops on your itinerary.
What Fredericksburg attractions are nearby?
Since they are secluded, The A-Frame Ranch cabins are about a 10 min. drive from Main Street where many of Fredericksburg’s top restaurants and bars are located. Fredericksburg is home to over 50 wineries, making it a premier wine destination in the state of Texas.
My favorite stop was Kuhlman Cellars where we had a wine tasting overlooking scenic views of the vineyard. This was a great stop to spend a few hours learning about the culture of wine production in Texas.
Plan your itinerary in advance to ensure you can visit multiple wineries and experience a variety of wines. Consider booking a guided tour to gain insight into the industry and sample a selection of wines. Some other wineries to consider are:
Looking for outdoor adventures instead? Enchanted Rock State Natural Area is only 30 min. away by car. Bring your backpack and hiking shoes to explore the granite rocks (just make sure it’s not too hot).
